I know that PowerPC do not works with Harrison (Macintosh 8100 with Nubus)

Nubus is a standard, so all 68000 NUBUS are supposed to work, No?

(as I made a lot of configuration, supporting AVID, Protools, Radius, RasterOps... I have allways seen that 68040 are retro-compatibles,

as far as you keep same system for keeping drivers compatibles- if they do not exist for systems 8 and 9)

I would like to upgrade from VX to QUADRA 950, wich seems to be the best...

But Harrison do not have anymore docs about reasons explaining wich machines could or could not works.

I know System 7 is OK.

But what about Systems 8 and 9 ?

I would like to understand wich technical part is the key to say if a 900-950 will work...

AS you can see on doc from Harrison, it has been made by hand (fot serie 12) this year (2017)

Thanks for this precious document !

So no Quadra 950... yeah that seems strange as it has enough nubus slots... so there must be another reason.

I remember being told years ago that the best choice would be the Fx, as it has so many slots. But then, I guess it wouldn't really make a difference in the system's responsiveness ?
