Post SCSI2SD adapter

I just got the SCSI2SD adapter for my Mac iivx. I'm hoping to be rid of the old, noisy and unreliable hard drive! Has anyone here done this conversion? I need some help figuring out how to partition the drive and install the OS. Once we get this to work, I will let you all know how to do it for yourselves.

Hi Craig !

As far as I know, you should be able to just clone the system hard drive by copying everything from it to your new one.

I did that years ago to replace the small 40Mb original hard drive by a "biiiig" 240Mb one. ;)

So I guess it should work for you too ?

Cheers and let us know how it turns out !

It's a bit more complicated than that. Once I get it all figured out I will let you know.

Hi Craig, did you get it work? We have an SCSI2D adapter and thinking to migrate to it. Any suggestions would be very useful. Thank you...

It works great! You really need to do this mod. Contact Dave Wheeler at wave.audio@gmail.com He upgraded mine and has done the upgrade for several others as well. While you are talking to him, ask him about the microphones he builds. I'm not joking when I say they are the best in the world.
